Each year, Maric Homes proudly supports Light the Night, an annual event organized by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). The walk unites families, friends, and businesses across the country to raise awareness and critical funds for blood cancer research, treatment, and patient support.

For the Maric team, this cause is deeply personal. 

It’s a show of support for those affected by blood cancers and it’s grown into a company tradition – one that reflects our values of community, compassion, and care that extends beyond the homes we build.

But most of all it’s our way of celebrating and remembering Marcia Maric. For our family, Marcia’s life gave us many gifts: a reminder to stay focused on the present, to appreciate every moment we are given, to value the creation of memories over the accumulation of materials, and of course the greatest gift, family. 

From fundraising initiatives to lighting up the night with our team, family, and friends, we participate each year to help bring hope to those impacted by cancer and to honour the strength of survivors, patients, and their loved ones.

Supporting Light the Night is one small way we can help build something lasting – not just homes, but a stronger, more compassionate community right here in Winnipeg.

Since the Maric Homes family has started participating in Light the Night, with your support we have raised over $325,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada! This level of fundraising has funded the equivalent of three separate researchers working to find a cure for blood cancers.
