This fall, we celebrated 50 years of Maric Homes with a feature in the Fall Parade of Homes Magazine by the Winnipeg Free Press.
In case you’re new to Maric, we’ve been a family business for two generations.
Maric Homes began with husband and wife team, Steve and Cathie Maric, who built the company one house at a time.
Steve brought his skill as a cabinet maker and Cathie supported every part of the business from design to operations. Their approach was simple. Build carefully. Focus on quality. Treat every project with respect.
When the Manitoba Home Builders Association brought The Parade of Homes to Winnipeg in the 1980s, it was an important turning point for Maric. A standout bungalow in La Salle drew new attention and showcased our design/build chops.
Awards followed. Larger custom estate homes followed. Through every phase, the work remained grounded in the same standards that defined the early years.
Today, the next generation continues that vision. Peri, Tanya and her husband Dan, and Martin and his wife Caroline lead an integrated team that manages every step of the design and build process in-house. This structure supports thoughtful planning, balanced proportion, and a design approach that avoids fleeting trends in favour of long-term appeal.
We know that homeowners today want to participate closely in decisions about layout, materials, and the character of their space. Our design studio and construction team guide each of our clients through that process with clear communication, careful budgeting, and a shared goal of creating a home that feels right for many years.
As we celebrate 50 years, we remain committed to these core principles.
Craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a steady focus on what makes a home feel comfortable and considered.
